Biesiada

Let me start  by simply explaining what it means.
Biesiada (bee'sea'da) = feast, entertainment, banquet.
Biasiada in Polish means = uczta, zgromadzenia, przyjecie, wesele, etc.
It is actually an old traditional way of throwing a party. For many it has a different meaning and it has a different theme attached to it. For example it can be focused more on music, or poetry, food or even a host of the party. Biesiada could be a wedding party. Usually, it is associated with mixture of eating, drinking, singing and dancing to the fullest. In Polish history those are the oldest forms of celebratory functions. Especially, mentioned in literature those kind of parties were planned to unite people and give them an optimistic view on life and symbolize a brighter future.
